‘Nightmare!’: Denise Richards’ wedding dress has caused a SERIOUS debate online

When it comes to wedding dresses, opinions are usually strong and always unwanted. Yes, the phrase 'if you don't have anything nice to say...' comes to mind and it most certainly applies to the majority of people talking about Denise Richards' wedding dress today. Actress Denise Richards tied the knot with partner Aaron Phypers in Malibu over the weekend, just two days after she announced they were engaged. Indeed planning for the big day was incredibly rushed with Denise only giving designer Mark Zunino 24 hours notice to create her perfect bridal gown. However, proudly sharing a picture of his creation on Instagram, Zunino said:

“24 hours to make a wedding dress? No problem! Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.”

In Zunino's mind, the post might only draw a huge amount of attention because of the celebrity it was for, however, the dress in question turned the conversation into a huge debate with people sharing their fairly harsh opinions on the dress all over social media.

“It was completed in 24 hours because there’s only four hours’ worth of material to it,” wrote one Twitter user. “Babe, great dress, wrong occasion," wrote another. "Given the context, it’s a nightmare!”

While others simply told the bride her “dress was stunning”. In fact, the debate grew so intense that designer Mark had to share another post on social media defending the piece which was actually a playsuit with a sheer skirt overlay.

“I don’t think we’ve ever had a wedding dress create more split opinions than the dress we just did for Denise Richards! “Here’s out thought: we work for the bride. As long as they're in love with the design, we feel we’ve done our job. “We are thrilled that Denise felt beautiful on her special day and love how the dress 100 percent fit her personality and the setting.”

This is Denise’s second marriage after she divorce actor Charlie Sheen. Husband Aaron was also married before to Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan.
