When it comes to our home, we all know that it’s important to invest in its future with sustainability in mind.
Making more eco-friendly choices isn’t just the right thing to do for the planet, but sustainable upgrades also help save us significant amounts of money on our energy bills.
One insurance company that understands the value of future-proofing the home is Allianz Insurance, who have just launched Rebuild Better, a brand new, innovative benefit that will empower and support homeowners to invest in eco-friendly, sustainable upgrades as they repair damage to their home.
How does Rebuild Better work?
With Rebuild Better, all Allianz home insurance customers can avail of an additional €5,000 on buildings claims of €50,000 or more to be used to make sustainable, energy-efficient changes to their home during the reconstruction process.
This extra €5,000 from Allianz Insurance will give an additional boost to the SEAI grants that are already available, allowing them to choose from a huge variety of upgrades to make their home more energy-efficient. These upgrades include heat pump installation, solar panels and attic and wall insulation.
What does Rebuild Better cover?
The Rebuild Better insurance benefit is eligible for buildings cover claims relating to losses such as burst water pipes, fires, floods, storms and subsidence.
How can customers avail of Rebuild Better?
To avail of this benefit, customers will need to be approved by SEAI and have received the grant. A registered SEAI contractor will then execute the energy improvements.
