Actor Splits From Partner of 13 Years

Actor Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka have split after 13 years together.

The 38-year-old Broadway star, who has also appeared in 30 Rock and Glee, and his other half are now divorcing after two years of marriage.

 

Cheyenne has enjoyed roles in theatre and television.

A statement, released to Playbill.com earlier this week, confirmed the news. It read: “Cheyenne Jackson and his husband Monte Lapka have mutually decided to divorce.

“The couple have been together for 13 years and were married in N.Y. State two years ago. It is an amicable parting and, understandably, a private matter.”

This was the picture the actor shared on the couple's anniversary this year. 

The news comes only two months after Cheyenne posted a lovely picture on Instagram to celebrate their anniversary.

He captioned it: “happy birthday husband.... you handsome, dry-witted, compassionate lover of life. You make me want to be better.”
