PICTURE: The Most Unlikely Best Friends In The Animal Kingdom Ever?

It has to be said that here in the Her.ie offices, we absolutely adore animals. Animals playing together, well that’s almost too much for us to handle.

A dog named Bella, and the orphaned elephant, Bubbles met at a Wildlife Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The pair were brought together by the Rare Species Fund when rescue services saved the elephant calf after her parents were slaughtered for their tusks.

30 years on Bubbles is extremely content and since then has featured in Ace Ventura 2 and a Janet Jackson music video.

Bubbles and Bella pass their days playing fetch together… We. Cannot. Cope.
