Beauty bloggers are raving about this homemade eyebrow tint

We’re sceptical

Here look, beauty bloggers have come out with some strange concoctions and this one might just be the weirdest.

Alas, beauty blogger Jennifer Chiu swears by this homemade eyebrow tint.

In a new video that is gaining massive traction, the blogger takes the ingredients more commonly found in a mocha and mixes them to create a paste. The beauty mixes leftover ground coffee, some cocoa powder, coconut oil and honey into a muddy mixture before applying it to her eyebrows for 20 minutes.

After clearing it away with a bud, Chiu claims the effects are mesmerizing.

I personally, cannot see any difference.

The cynic in me did a quick google search to investigate further incidences of this “technique” and sure enough, people all over the world wide web swear by the concoction.

Wiki How gives a step by step guide and commenters pitch in with their recommendations.

This Reddit thread, dedicated to the topic recommends DIY beauties make a really strong coffee and leave the mixture on the brows for more than 20 minutes. At that, users found their hair darkened by a shade.

Commenters on Chiu’s video as are critical of the technique.

“I thought honey lightens?” writes one.

Though some defend the practice, saying that leaving it on for an hour works.

“I tried this with maple syrup and olive oil and left it on for about it an hour, reapplying the tint halfway through. Definitely worked a lot better!”

Alright then – let us know how it goes for you.
