The country is phasing in state-sanctioned haircuts for men and women; twenty-eight haircuts that all look like they came in from the 90s. Women have 18 options BUT if you're married, you're only left with the short ones because the longer, curlier, ones are reserved for the single ladies. Men who want to sport Jared Leto's "Jesus look" can forget it because they're prohibited from growing their hair longer than five centimeters and have to have it cut every 15 days but older men can get away with a whole two centimeters more! The Daily Mail reports that this isn't the first time it has happened. In 2005, North Korean state TV launched a five part series entitled 'Let us trim our hair in accordance with Socialist lifestyle,' which sent out teams with hidden cameras to catch 'rebel' North Koreans who were breaking the North Korean strict hairstyle code.
