Love Island's Alexandra shares skin update after laser facial left her swollen and crying
Alexandra Cane has shared a skin update following a laser facial that left her swollen and in tears.
The Love Island contestant had the 45 minute treatment done over the weekend in a bid to combat the scars left over from her impetigo - a contagious infection that causes blisters and sores to break out on the skin's surface.
Alex took to Instagram to share pictures of her face following the treatment, that's supposed to"...help enlarged pores, uneven pigmentation, lines, wrinkles, and scarring."
She said it was an "eight out of 10" on the pain scale.
After the treatment, Alex said she cried because she didn't realise what she would look like.
She added that her face "was so puffy I could barely see."
"Initially after getting it done I cried and said 'what the hell have I done?'" she told her followers. "But I trust in my consultant and am looking forward to seeing the results."
Alex has since shared an update of her face, saying that the procedure went "exactly as it's supposed to go" and that she is delighted with the results so far.
It's expected to take between three and five months before the reality star sees any major results.
