The Cocoa Brown founder thanked everyone who reached out to her either privately or publicly.

Irish businesswoman Marissa Carter has thanked fans for the outpouring of support she received, after alleging that she had been “bullied” and pushed out of her business, Cocoa Brown.

In a post on her story, Carter wrote: “Thank you to every single person who has who has messaged me privately and publicly.

“My shame and embarrassment feels a little lighter today. I am trying to mind myself and my family while I battle but I will be on later to say hello and to maybe talk a bit more about what has been happening to me.

“Sending love, light and POWER to everyone who needs it today.”

Yesterday, Carter, who is the founder of Cocoa Brown Tan, said that she is taking legal action against her business partners, who she alleges had “bullied” her.

On social media, Ms Carter said that it had been “the worst experience of her life.”.

Since then, fans have flooded Cocoa Brown’s Instagram page with messages of support.

Marissa also thanked her fans for the support they’ve shown her throughout the years yesterday.

She said: “Every single time I feel like I can’t do it or I’m going to give up, I’m going to remind myself of all the messages I’ve received over the years from people telling me that that little pink bottle has inspired them to go after their dream, that’s what’s going to keep me going.

“So thank you. Thank you to everyone who has ever messaged me because I read them, I read them all.”

Cocoa Brown was launched in 2012, and within a year it became the best selling tan brand in Ireland. The products are sold in almost 15,000 stores throughout the Europe, North America and Australia.

The brand’s 1-hour tan has become particularly popular, and has even been featured on the Instagram feeds of Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

Her has reached out to Cocoa Brown distributor Sundrelle for comment.
