The odd (and easy) way Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist cleans his makeup brushes

It works REALLY well.

Let’s face it, cleaning makeup brushes can be a daunting task – and that’s at the best of times.

And while we’re definitely guilty of leaving it longer than we should between brush cleans, there’s no doubt that we feel absolutely delighted when it’s done.

Everyone has their own preferred method when it comes to washing their beauty utensils, whether it’s using a brush cleaner, shampoo or even running it under a tap and using dish soap.

But Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist has recently opened up about one of his preferred methods of cleaning his makeup brushes.

And it’s an absolute game changer.

Mario Dedivanovic shared a video to Instagram over the long weekend, where he opened up about his favourite face and body wash.

Philosophy’s Purity Made Simple, according to him, has proven to be so popular that one bottle of it sold every 49 seconds across the globe.

Dedivanovic says that it not only removes eye makeup without making his face feel dry – but also works well when he uses it to clean up his makeup brushes.

He added:

“Another reason I really love it is that it does a really good job at cleaning the makeup brushes, too. So, I do use it to clean my makeup brushes every now and then.”

I’ve tried this method before using a different body wash – admittedly, it was more out of a “I’m out of brush cleanser and really need to clean these” necessity than anything else.

And it really does work. Plus, because of the one I used, my brushes ended up smelling like cotton candy for a few weeks.

If you’re thinking about trying a body wash as a makeup brush cleaner, make sure you’re using one that won’t dry out your brushes.

We can totally see why Dedivanovic loves this cleanser, and has been a huge fan for the last 18 years.

It not only contains sulphates, which would dissolve grease and oil, but has a mix of lightweight oils – which will keep your skin, and brush bristles, from drying out.
