Penis facials are here and they’re kind of what you think they are

Anything to get a glow, wha?

As a person with access to the internet, you might be aware that the term ‘facial’ has more than one meaning.

We won’t get into the details. We’re just here to tell you that two of these meanings have been brought together (kind of) in the name of skincare.

The penis facial is the latest way to ‘get a glow’, as it were, but thanks be to God it doesn’t involve anything that looks like it belongs on PornHub.

Its actually known as an EGF (epidermal growth factor) facial and, like all modern skincare phenomena, it comes from Korea.

It involves having the EFG, which contains stem cells from the foreskins of circumcised Korean boys, rubbed onto your face. Yes, you read that right.

The skin is prepared beforehand with peels, micro-needling and an electrifying mask.

The stem cells are said to help to boost collagen and elastin in your skin to keep you looking fresh.

Cate Blanchett is a fan of the treatment and confirmed that it smells as you might expect it to.

“Sandy Bullock and I saw this facialist in New York, Georgia Louise, and she gives what we call the penis facial and it’s something — I don’t know what it is, or whether it’s just ’cause it smells a bit like sperm — there’s some enzyme in it so Sandy refers to it as the penis facial,” she told Vogue Australia.

They’re not the only Hollywood stars queueing up for a go.

“I have text threads, which would blow your mind, from celebs asking for the ‘penis treatment’ all the time now,” facialist Georgia Louise told The Cut.

Despite its $650 price tag, the treatment has taken off in a big way – InStyle reports that there’s a two-year waiting list for the penis facial.
