The simple thing that will make your dry shampoo routine A LOT more effective

Converted!

Dry shampoo… we salute you.

Whether you’re ‘in between washes,’ in a rush, or just plain feeling lazy, there surely isn’t a woman alive whose day hasn’t been saved at some stage or another by dry shampoo.

However, it seems that we could be getting a lot more bang for our buck when it comes to application.

Goldwell, a brand that does a load of colour, care, and styling products, has a worthy ambassador in the form of one Daniel Martin – also a Dior MUA of note. He’s recently worked with the likes of Demi Lovato, Elizabeth Moss, Jessica Alba, and Hilary Swank.

Daniel has now also explained that after you’ve applied dry shampoo to your roots – you also need to give a good blast with your hairdryer.

“This will help distribute the product away from the scalp and a little into the mid lengths,” he revealed chatting with FLARE.

“That helps with volume and removes visual residue,” Daniel added.

He furthermore recommends shaking your hair as you blow dry it while massaging the product into your scalp for added volume.

Consider us converted, Daniel!

Otherwise, we were also recently told of this dry shampoo tip… especially good if your hair is fine and limp.

Apparently, spraying on some product the night before is the way to go as this gives it more time to work, soaking up the excess oil from your hair. Speaking to InStyle, New-York based hairstylist Ryan Trygstad explained:

“Use a dry shampoo preventively. Spray roots until hair feels chalky. The powder will suck up oils as they’re produced.”
