Beauty blogger with cystic acne raves about Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation

Cathy Donohue

cystic acne

Cystic acne is pretty painful.

I’ve been there and believe me when I say you’ll try anything to improve the condition because it can hurt a LOT and can make you pretty self-conscious too.

Cystic acne basically translates to red, painful bumps that are under the skin, deeper than superficial blemishes and so it’s considered a more severe form of acne.

Abbie Bull is very familiar with the above and the beauty blogger often speaks about skin positivity on her social media channels.

Recently, she shared one of her go-to products for concealing cystic acne and unsurprisingly, the Instagram post went viral as fellow acne sufferers are keen to try it out.

Abbie has 16,000 followers on Instagram and shared her love for Huda Beauty Faux Filter’s Foundation with them, describing it as “insane”.

@hudabeauty faux filter foundation is INSANE. A lot of people ask if it breaks me out even more and it doesn’t, I also love the smell of it ?? I’m dying for her to see my posts using her foundation, if she shared we can get #skinpositivity to millions of people so tag her if you can! I’m determined to get the message out there that we are beautiful with or without makeup, acne sufferers deserve to be in the light as much as anyone else and not feel the need to hide away. I CHOOSE to put makeup on because I like being creative, not because I have to. I love myself both ways and you guys should too ? @shophudabeauty #acnepositivity #acne #makeup #hudabeauty #shophudabeauty #fauxfilterfoundation #makeupartist #anastasiabeverlyhills #loveyourself

Abbie said that she is often asked if the foundation causes her skin to break out, she says it doesn’t and better still, she loves the smell of it.

Random but we’ve heard stranger things, to be fair.

In the post, Abbie said that she shared the post showing her with a full face of make-up to highlight the importance of skin positivity.

She loves herself without makeup and with it too and we think that’s a pretty fabulous message to spread around. Abbie might just be about to get herself some new followers…
