Ellen Tannam

Workplace organisation platform Slack is bringing 80 new jobs to Dublin over a two year period.

The US company’s headquarters are here in Ireland and employ 100 people already, but RTÉ reports strong demand means that a further 80 people are to be taken on by the 3-year-old business.

The new roles will be in customer experience and account management.

Their current office is located in One Park Place on Hatch Street in Dublin city centre.

The company has 2.7million active users daily and 430 global employees.

“Our user base grew tenfold last year and we’re seeing strong demand across all industries and from businesses of all sizes, for more efficient and effective team communications,” said James Sherrett, Slack’s Dublin-based senior manager of accounts.

The company offers services to allow co-workers to communicate more efficiently and effectively during their working days.
