Arnotts is getting a MAJOR revamp with a brand new beauty hub
It's getting a major upgrade in all areas.
Arnotts has been a hub of shopping in the city centre, with both designer and high street brands in store.
From makeup to clothes and even furniture, it's a pretty thrifty place with lots to offer... but it seems like it's about to get even better.
According to The Irish Times, the Selfridges Group, who own Arnotts (as well as Brown Thomas and are investors with Penneys) have signed off on an €11 million revamp for the department store.
The revamp will include a complete overhaul of the beauty section, making it even bigger, as well as adding in new restaurants.
The store is also going to install a new toy store, and will expand its children's clothing section too.
Work is believed to begin later this year, with the first renovations being carried out on Clodagh's Kitchen and its Handmade kitchen.
Handmade is going to get an upgrade in service also, with the kitchen being moved out to the middle of the restaurant floor, to make it 'more theatre-like'.
It also plans to upgrade its computer systems, and add in an app for staff for use where they can easily see their rotas and swap shifts.
Donald McDonald, the managing director of Arnotts said: “This latest investment will support ongoing improvements, and includes extensive system upgrades and technology advancements to support our ambition of making the Arnotts shopping experience the most engaging omni-channel experience in Ireland."
