The second year of the AIB Start-Up Academy is in full swing, and the next networking event is heading to the Midlands, stopping off in Athlone.

Kicking off at 6.30pm in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone on 16th September, guests will hear inspiring entrepreneurial stories from Ciara Donlon, founder of THEYA and John Touhy, CEO of the Nightline Logistics Group.

Make sure to register for your chance to learn from two of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs.

Ciara is a business woman with over 15 years’ experience working in online sales and marketing roles in companies including Vodafone, RBS and Irish Life and Permanent.

Ciara entered the world of lingerie when she set up her own lingerie boutique in 2010. After learning the business inside and out and researching the gap in the post surgery lingerie market, THEYA was created in 2013. THEYA  supply both the retail and healthcare markets with a range of post surgical garments, a number of THEYA’s products are now patent pending. THEYA currently employ three full-time, and three part time staff.

Alongside his business partner Dave Field, John Tuohy founded Nightline in 1992. It was a small courier company – two energetic determined men working out of one small room with just one delivery van. By putting their customers at the centre of everything they did, John and Dave delivered by being on time, being easy to reach and quick to respond.

Nightline is now the largest privately owned express courier delivery service on the island of Ireland.

Joining the key speakers will be three budding Irish entrepreneurs who will be sharing their business plans on the night. The three entrepreneurs are Darragh O’Rourke from Agri Link Farm Services, Linda Syron from Mollie Moo’s Pet Farm and Karl McCarthy from Usher.
