Running out of toilet roll is pretty much one of our biggest pet peeves. As well as being pretty embarrassing, toilet roll isn't something we tend to worry about until it's too late. Now one entrepreneur has come up with a new alert system that won’t see you caught out by mother nature anymore.
According to reports from TechCrunch, RollScout is a battery-powered toilet paper roll that installs into your bathroom wall easily. When infrared sensors detect that toilet paper levels are low, a pulsing red ring will light up, making sure the bathroom visitor is never left short.
The device even comes in a variety of styles to match your bathroom interiors – from polished chrome, to antique bronze and ceramic white.
The team of entrepreneurs behind RollScout have now launched a Kickstarter campaign for crowd-funding, with a target set of $37,500.
