Ireland’s best places to work for 2020 have been revealed

Abbvie Ireland has been voted as the best ‘large’ place in Ireland to work, according to greatplacetowork.ie. Multiple companies across the country were honoured at an awards ceremony on Wednesday night, divided into categories of ‘large’, ‘medium’ and ‘small’ workplaces.

Abbvie, the international biopharmaceutical company has a number of different workplaces across Ireland. Alongside three manufacturing facilities in Sligo and Cork, two offices in Dublin serve the needs of the company’s commercial and operations activities.

The company aims to create new medicines for chronic and serious health issues by combining advanced science with knowledge of diseases.

Ireland’s top 10 large workplaces can be seen below:

  4. Workhuman (formerly Globeforce)
  5. Salesforce
  6. Regeneron
  7. Core
  8. Version1
  9. Morgan McKinley

In the medium category, the top 10 looks like this:

The workplaces are ranked based on a Trust Index that is filled out by employees, measuring their thoughts on their own workplace, as well as a ‘Culture Audit’, which is submitted by the organisations themselves.

The Culture Audit outlines the policies that an organisation has in place across the nine key practice areas that create and define a great place to work.

Factors such as respect, credibility, fairness, pride and camaraderie are taken into account.
