This Malicious Website Can Crash Your iPhone In Seconds

The website shuts down your phone in minutes.

A new website is doing the rounds which can crash your iPhone when a user clicks through on the link.

A site called crashsafari.com (yes, the name seems a little obvious) will crash your iPhone 6S and iPhone 5S running on iOS version 9.2 or above.

The Huffington Post warns that when you visit the website, the phone begins to load the link before Safari is forced to crash and reboot your iPhone.

Crashsafari won’t shut down a Samsung S6 Android phone, but it will freeze the app, making it impossible to go to a different URL. Instead of crashing the phone though, you simply have to close the app and then open the browser again.

The good news is, that as annoying as this bug is, it shouldn’t do any long-term damage to your phone.

Crashsafari.com also won’t steal your personal information – so it might be annoying but your phone should be relatively safe once you restart it.
