Use An iPhone For Work? Now You Can See If You’re Being Monitored

If you have a company phone you need to read this.

Many people who work for large corporations and companies receive a company phone to use, and sometimes there’s a worry that your phone might be being watched by eagle-eyed higher-ups.

Well, with the newest operating system for the iPhone iOS 9.3, you’ll soon be able to see if your phone is being monitored by your employer.

The operating system is still in the beta-testing stages, but one Reddit user, MaGNeTiX has revealed that the newest OS will display a message on your phone notifying you if it’s being monitored by your bosses.

Apple already has a Device Enrollment Program which is an easy way for Apple to issue devices to employees, and it features something called Mobile Device Management (MDM) which lets the employer manage various aspects of the phone.

Although the feature won’t necessarily allow you to turn off company supervision or make your data on the phone more private, it will serve as a pretty effective warning to people who might not even be aware their phone is being monitored.
