Women make twice as much money in investments as their male counterparts

We’re pretty chuffed with this news.

According to Financial Times, investments made by women pull in twice as much money as those made by men.

Despite the fact that there’s a lack of women represented in the investment sector, research shows that hedge funds run by women make returns of 9.95 percent.

However, hedge funds run by men only receive a 4. 81 return.

In the study, it showed that women were more consistent in outperforming their male counterparts since 2007.

In 2015, the publication stated that there is only 439 hedge funds with a female portfolio manager.

More than 9,000 hedge funds employ a male in the same role.

To further that, a study from this year by Harvard and the Bella Research Group found that women only own 1 percent of the industry’s assets in the UK.
