It’s not really the Christmas season unless there’s been one ever-so-slight baking fail in the kitchen – or at least something that didn’t quite turn out as planned.
And while plenty of us end up hoping that our mishaps quickly get forgotten, Blake Lively decided to make sure she wasn’t the only one who was going to enjoy her husband, Ryan Reynolds, attempting to make Christmas cookies.
The former Gossip Girl star took to social media on Friday evening to share a snap of a plate of some partially frosted snowman and star-shaped cookies that were slightly burnt and broken up.
She captioned the photo:
“@vancityreynolds made some Christmas cookies… ? …He’s verrry handsome though.”

The couple – who are parents to James, 3, and 1-year-old Inez – are known to pretty expertly troll each other on social media, especially when it comes to the holidays or special occasions.
But the Deadpool star appeared to be ready for his wife’s photo.
He simply commented below it:
“I wanted to be the first person to bake Christmas cookies using only a hammer.”
The post clearly struck a chord with her social media followers.
Within an hour of it being shared, it had almost 3,000 comments and more than 300,000 likes.
