Former England footballer David Beckham has revealed this week what he thinks he would have been working at if his footballing career had not worked out.
Beckham credits his father for helping his football career.
Speaking this week at the HMV Football Extravaganza, he revealed that he thinks he would have followed in his father’s footsteps to become a gas fitter.
“I’m incredibly honoured,” he said on receiving the Legend of Football award at the ceremony.
He received a special award.
“When you look at the list of previous recipients, I feel very fortunate to be alongside them.”
“I am proud of what I have achieved and my hard work is down to my parents, who are here tonight with my sister.”
