The singer was rushed to hospital yesterday.
Yesterday evening we learned of the news that Demi Lovato had been rushed to hospital following a suspected heroin overdose.
Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ said that Demi was transported from a property in the Hollywood Hills to hospital just before noon yesterday.
Demi was treated with Narcan – an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses – at her own home before being taken to hospital.
It has now been reported that the star is “awake and talking”.
“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers, and support,” Lovato’s representative said in a statement.
Thousands of fans have taken to social media to send Demi their love and support.
A number of Demi’s famous friends have also taken to Twitter to send her well wishes.
Joe Jonas, who is one of Demi’s closest friends (and ex boyfriend) tweeted: “We know how strong you are Demi.”
