Hit singer Hozier has revealed that his friends slag him off for being famous.
The 24-year-old Wicklow man told Elle magazine that his friends aren’t afraid to have a laugh at his expense. “They just make fun of me,” he said. “They jump straight to jokes that I’m injecting heroin into my eyeballs and racing to an early grave with every success. “The last year has been mental, but I don’t feel famous. Things are going great and I’m very happy, but I’m not famous.”
He added that fans will have to wait until at least 2016 for another album.
“Sadly, I’m too busy to work on my second album in any meaningful way,” he revealed.
“But I have a guitar with me everywhere I go and I’ll try to keep the ideas coming. I just won’t be able to do much meaningful work until 2016, I think.
