He's one of music's most private superstars and that doesn't look like it's about to change any time soon.
Jay Z followed in wife Beyoncé's footsteps at the weekend and joined photo-sharing site Instagram. It was not to last though, as he quit again a mere 14 hours later.
Fans were alerted to the account by music executive Michael Kyser, a pal of Jay Z's who posted a picture of the rapper and saying "Follow my brother @Hovsince96 ASAP!".
The short-lived account was only updated once, with a tribute to Michael Jackson that read "Happy birthday to the King!" He added: "This may be my first and last post."
The account, Hovsince96, was deactivated on Sunday morning.
Jay Z is also on Twitter, but remains a man of few words - sending out a total of four tweets since last April. Back to Beyoncé's account it is for anyone who wants a sneak peek into the life of the King and Queen of the charts.
