Kate Middleton rewears royal wedding look for Diplomatic Reception

Kate Middleton is known for recycling pieces from her wardrobe

While attending the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace, Kate could be seen wearing Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara and a pink sequin Jenny Packham gown.

If that seemed familiar it's because she wore that exact combination before.

Eagle-eyed royal watchers will remember that she wore this exact combination while attending Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan's wedding banquet.

Kate went as far as to keep the earrings the same as the first time she was spotted out in the look.

The princess could be seen sporting the Greville Chandelier earrings, jewels that the late Queen Elizabeth received as a wedding present from her parents.

Though the mother of three is known for repeating tiaras this marked the first time she has been seen wearing the exact same tiara and dress at the same time again.

Even her clutch bag in a matching shade of metallic pink showed off her sustainable style as Kate has had the Prada bag in her collection since 2008.

Yet it wasn't just Kate's stunning outfit that caught people's eye it was the change to the royal family order ribbon she was wearing that had people talking.

Typically pin has a much longer ribbon but this time, Kate's was noticeably shorter, possibly hinting at a change coming soon.

Hello Magazine explained: "The King will issue his own Royal Family Order in future, which will replace the one worn by Queen Camilla and Princess Kate, and the shorter ribbon displayed is a reminder of that coming change.

"I would expect to see them wearing the King's portrait this time next year." It seems to make sense, considering King Charles is yet to reveal his ribbon portrait.
