Justice for Coco.

Former Love Island star Coco Lodge has revealed that her dad actually got in contact with the Love Island bosses after her family became concerned over how she was being portrayed.

Speaking to Bobby Norris and Stephen Lang on FUBAR Radio on Thursday, the Casa bombshell explained how her dad wasn’t happy with how much of a negative light she was being put in through editing.

Calling producers, he told them that they were “going to ruin my daughter’s mental health” after seeing the hate that Coco was getting from appearing on the show.

Speaking about the ordeal, Coco said: “When I was in the villa, apparently my Dad called the producers and was like, you need to show her full personality because what you’re showing is causing so much hate….you’re going to ruin my daughter’s mental health.”

Speaking candidly about her time in the Love Island villa, Coco admitted that she found herself “hyperventilating and crying loads” as she struggled on the show.

She explained: “The first day I went into Casa, that was so fun. Then obviously, having such a strong connection with someone so quickly. I never thought I could literally catch [feelings] in basically a day, but I was obsessed.”

Saying her break up with Andrew and his return to Tasha caused her to have a “breakdown”, it wasn’t just the relationship that had her so upset.

In a YouTube video interview with Murad Merali, the islander shared that she heard from Summer that off-camera, the boys were mocking her.

“There were comments made when the filming was off, that were like, I’m a four out of 10, by some of the boys,” she said.

Murad asked who said that, and Coco told him that she doesn’t know, but Summer heard it.

“Like, ‘You’re a four out of 10, Paige is a 12,'” she said. “These comments were made and I was already having a really hard time in there as it was, and I was crying a lot in there for the first few days.”
