Love Island’s Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer slammed by fans for recent Instagram snap

They're not happy.

Yikes.

We all know that when Love Island ends, Islanders are hit with fame and sponsorship deals. From clothing collections to partnerships, discount codes to paid ads, it’s hard to get away from the deals which litter the feeds of every star from the hit TV show.

But the question is, when do you draw the line?

Well, it appears like Dani and Jack have found it, as they roiled up fans when they took to their platforms of a combined 6 million to promote McDonald’s latest drive-thru app.

Taking to Instagram both stars shared an image of them with their cars and fast food. Explaining how easy the new McDonald’s app was to use in the caption reading “great for when you get a bit hangry”.

The backlash rolled in quick.

Dani too shared a similar image with a wrap in her hand, explaining that she would be demostrating the new app on her Instagram Stories.

And since, the posts have been met with a LOT of backlash from fans who criticised the stars saying they would “promote sh*t for a price.”

Others asked the stars to take a break from the heavy product placement and put their time into promoting things which are actually beneficial and good for their larger and younger audiences.

“Why not throw your 5 minutes of celebrity fame behind something that might make a positive difference instead of getting paid to promote shite food… Love you guys but macdonald??? Really???”

While another chimed in…

“Nothing about this post helps people. Encouraging food like McDonald’s is nasty af.”

Dani or Jack have yet to respond to these comments but it appears like fans have had enough of their advert-heavy feeds.

But they’re not the only ones, Samira Mighty and Zara McDermott have also been noted by fans for pushing too many adverts on their feeds.

Will we see less ads and more original content from the stars of the 2018 series?

The jury is still out on this one.
