Meghan Markle is criticised for this ‘bad habit’ and it’s a bit unfair really

Would everyone stop giving out about Meghan Markle?

Since the royal tour, Meghan has been criticised a few times for apparently breaking royal protocol but the latest report is extremely harsh.

According to one royal expert, Meghan’s decision to wear items of clothing with pockets isn’t exactly in line with royal etiquette.

We have to say that this sounds a bit unfair and can’t really see why it’s an issue but then there’s a lot of rules when it comes to life as a member of the royal family.

William Hanson is a well-known name when it comes to all things etiquette and he recently pointed out the ‘mistake’ Meghan made during the New Zealand leg of the royal tour.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended an engagement at Courtenay Creative in Wellington earlier this week with the mum-to-be wearing a tuxedo dress with pockets.

Meghan posed for photographs wearing the white dress from designer Maggie Marilyn and as you’ll see, her hands were in her pockets – this is the part William has an issue with.

Chatting to the Daily Mail, he said:

“There is good casual and there is bad casual. Placing a hands in the pocket is too relaxed and unprofessional, however dressed down Prince Harry and his wife may have been”.

Yikes.

He then went on to describe it as a ‘small blip’ and said it could be ‘corrected for future engagements’.

There certainly seems to be a lot of dos and don’ts when it comes to royal etiquette but all the same, no one is going to lose any sleep if Meghan Markle puts her hands in her pockets…
