Speaking to The Mirror, Jamie blasted the move, saying:
"The worst thing you can do is jump ship just because you've been made a better offer - or at least you think you're being presented with a better offer.
"You should stay loyal and true to your roots. Remember where you came from. If you are thinking of leaving then it should be a gradual transition.
"For me, I'm such a loyal guy. Made In Chelsea gave me my place in the media world. I love it and don't have any plans to leave."
The McVities heir, who has since launched his own confectionary line, added that Gemma’s outbreaks and tantrums are setting a bad example for younger viewers:
"Everyone needs to stop being idiots. We are role models for young people so we need do what is right.
"We should inspire young people. Keep that in mind."
Gemma has reportedly been signed up for the next season of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5. The star famously quit I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here after just three nights in base camp.
Jamie is currently appearing in the Made In Chelsea LA spin-off this summer.
