Finally, more details on Netflix’s Gilmore Girls reboot.
So a few days ago we found out that the rumoured Gilmore Girls reboot was definitely happening. And now we’ve just learnt a few more details.
We already know that it will be a four-part series, set eight years after the original and will be based on each of the seasons, starting with Winter.
Some of our old favourites are signed up to reprise their roles, such as Lauren Graham (Lorelai), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), Keiko Agena (Lane) and Sean Gunn (Kirk).
But now some new information has emerged.
According to Refinery29, Rory will be single in the reboot. Not necessarily single, as in not dating someone, but she definitely won’t be married.
A lot of the set is ready, except for Richard and Emily’s house which is yet to be finished. Richard, who was played by Edward Hermann, won’t be featuring in the reboot as Edward sadly passed away in 2014.
Some, but not all, of Rory’s exes will be taking part in the show. Apparently there was an issue with budget for the show and securing all of them.
Its creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, doesn’t want the series to be released all in one go, like most other Netflix shows.
