Princess Diana had a second secret wedding dress and it sounded verrrry different

Look, Princess Diana's wedding to Prince Charles was a very long time ago. We are aware of this fact. We know that this information is not news. The realisation, however, that Princess Diana had a second secret wedding dress is news though, so let's just go along with that. While Diana's wedding dress that she actually wore when she was getting married is probably one of the most famous - if not the most famous - wedding dresses on the planet, according to PEOPLE magazine, she actually had another one on standby. And it was a lot less extravagant. The princess's wedding dress designers, David and Elizabeth Emanuel, told the publication that they were pretty scared of the dress leaking to the press before the big day, they had another one designed just in case.  They said:

“At the time we wanted to make absolutely sure that the dress was a surprise.

“We didn’t try it on Diana. We never even discussed it.We wanted to make sure that we had something there; it was for our own peace of mind, really.”

Significantly less lavish, so. As it turns out though, we're never going to get to see what this second backup dress actually looked like because David and Elizabeth dumped all the sketches they made of both dresses. Shame.
