Sarah Harding seems to have made a lasting impression on Coronation Street bosses as she has now been snapped up to film again later this year.
The former Girls Aloud star hasn’t even finished filming her cameo role yet but it looks like her character is now set to be more important than originally planned.
The star’s Corrie character will be developed further.
Sarah confirmed to The Sun: “It turns out they’ve given me more episodes to film.”
However, when asked about a possible full time position on the cobbles, the pop star revealed some reservations.
She admitted: “I don’t know about doing it full-time. You only get about seven days to learn your lines. Sometimes you have to learn on the spot.
“It’s not like when I’ve done films and you learn the script well in advance. I’m nervous because people are going to expect high standards.”
Sarah is currently promoting her latest EP.
Sarah will first appear on the ITV1 soap next month as Joanie – the new wife of Tracey Barlow’s ex-husband Robert Preston.
Unfortunately for Joanie, who was originally meant to appear in just four episodes, Robert is reportedly still in love with Tracey so we can expect lots of drama.
The 33-year-old will reportedly return to set when she finishes promoting her latest EP this summer.
