Can you imagine?

Shawn Mendes was recently dubbed the Prince of Pop and “a global phenomenon who sends his teen fans into meltdown”.

He has had international fame and success, including platinum records, sold out tours and a few casual Calvin Klein ads.

So like, yeah, he’s kind of a big deal.

However, in the world of Dublin bouncers, Shawn is just another lad trying to get into a bar.

Over the weekend, the Canadian singer played two sold out gigs in the 3arena.

After, he decided to head into town and enjoy a classic Dublin night out – which he ended up getting tbh.

According to The Sun, the mega-famous fella trotted up to Bruxelles, where he was denied entry.

Why? Well, the age to get into Bruxelles in 21, and Shawn Mendes is only 20 (something we’re sad about, btw).

In a video that went viral on social media, Shawn can be seen walking away from the doors of the pub, saying:  “Alright, bye. I tried.”

And so, Shawn did what we’ve all done after being rejected from a pub in Dublin.

He went to McDonald’s on Grafton Street.

He posed for pictures with fans as he dove into a Happy Meal just after 3am. Our kind of guy.
