Emmerdale star Claire King has said that she now forgives her former co-star for sleeping with her husband.
King played Kim Tate in the popular drama and subsequently married actor Peter Amory, who played her on-screen step son.
However, the couple's relationship ended in 2003 amid reports that Amory had been embroiled in an affair with Emmerdale actress Samantha Giles, who played Bernice Blackstock.
In an interview with The Mirror, King said that the experience was "horrific" but added that she had forgiven Giles after the star apologised to her at a friend's funeral.
“She said she knew it was a long time ago, but she wanted to say sorry for everything that had gone on. I thought, ‘good on you girl’ for apologising, and agreed that it was way in our pasts. I’ve got nothing against her now. It’s all water under the bridge, and for me to be able to say I don’t care any more is good for me too.”
