Stephen Fry has quit Twitter after getting slated for calling Jenny Beavan a 'bag lady'.
Jenny was collecting her award at the BAFTAs last night for Best Costume Designer award for Mad Max: Fury Road.
Directly after her acceptance speech, Stephen Fry took to the podium and said, "Only one of the great cinematic costume designers would come to the awards ceremony dressed like a bag lady."
People were not impressed by the comment and took to Twitter to give out to him. While he tried to defend himself saying she was a friend, he decided to quit the social media platform.
Before dramatically deleting his Twitter account he responded with tweets saying, "Will all you sanctimonious f*****s f**k the f**k off Jenny Beavan is a friend and joshing is legitimate. Christ I want to leave the planet."
And "So just a word to the tragic figures who think calling Jenny Bevan a bag lady was an insult. She’s a dear friend and she got it. Derrr."
