The couple met at a fancy ski resort in Switzerland.

It seems as though everywhere we look, there’s some new and exciting royal news.

The family are certainly moving away from old-school archaic rules and regulations.

Last month, Prince Harry married the lovely Meghan Markle, who is a divorced actress.

Had that been fifty years ago, the marriage would NOT have been allowed.

But, we’re in 2018, and times are changing.

The latest royal breaking the mold is the Queen’s cousin Lord Ivar Mountbatten.

Lord Mountbatten recently announced that he will marry his partner, James Coyle, in a small ceremony this summer.

This will be the first same-sex royal wedding – and we couldn’t be happier for the pair.

Lord Mountbatten was previously married to a woman, Penny, who he has three children with.

The Queen’s first cousin spoke to The Daily Mail about his upcoming nuptials:

“I really wanted to do it for James. He hasn’t been married. For me, what’s interesting is I don’t need to get married because I’ve been there, done that and have my wonderful children; but I’m pushing it because I think it’s important for him. James hasn’t had the stable life I have. I want to be able to give him that.”

We cannot wait to see the fabulous wedding pictures.
