There’s Major Trouble Ahead For This Emmerdale Character

Emmerdale's Pete Barton is in for a difficult time over the next few weeks as his past comes back to haunt him. Pete is to be arrested for manslaughter after police question him about his involvement with drugs. They believe he sold ecstasy which led to the death of a young girl. "A year ago, Pete was selling drugs for what he thought were the right reasons," says Anthony Quinlan who plays Pete on the popular soap. "It was to try and keep the farm afloat. As a last resort. So it comes back to haunt him." Pete will be arrested at Butler's Farm As viewers will know, Pete is going out with Debbie Dingle who has two children with Andy Sugden, Sarah and Jack. The situation will turn nasty causing Andy to fight for custody of his children because he doesn't want them anywhere near Pete. An Emmerdale insider spoke to the Daily Star about the upcoming storyline: “Pete is at the farm with Moira and Cain when DI Bails arrives to arrest him for manslaughter. "He can’t believe it. But his main worry will be for Debbie and the impact it will have on the custody battle with Andy. “This really is the last thing Pete intended to happen when he got that bag of pills back in January. But sadly someone has died and the police are determined to make her supplier pay".
