Tina Fey had proved what we were all thinking… being a female celebrity is a VERY uncomfortable business.
Last year, David Letterman announced that the current series of The Late Show would be his last and to mark her final appearance on the programme, Fey discarded the stunning blue dress that she was wearing to show a special dedication that she had prepared.
The 30 Rock star was wearing a pair of Spanx emblazoned with the words ‘Bye Dave’ and joked that she would not be making the same effort while appearing on shows hosted by rivals James Corden and Jimmy Fallon.
“What, am I going to put a dress on for Jimmy [Fallon]? That’s creepy. He’s like my brother. I’m gonna wear like special underwear for James Corden? That’s not gonna happen. The next time you’ll see me I’ll be playing charades in a slanket.”
