WATCH: Did Lady Gaga throw shade at Caitlyn Jenner at Oscars party?

“‘I’ve switched Baristas’ will now be my excuse for everything.”

Lady Gaga has once again sent the internet into a frenzy after a video of her not-so-subtly trying to avoid Caitlyn Jenner went viral.

The video, filmed outside of Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood, shows the moment Caitlyn attempted to talk to Gaga –  leading to a painfully awkward encounter.

In the clip, we see the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star approach the singer and ask: “Are you spending time around Malibu anymore?”, to which she simply replies, “yes.”

Caitlyn tells her she hasn’t seen her at their local Starbucks in a while, and Gaga flatly says, “I’ve switched baristas”, before turning and walking away to signal that the conversation is over.

Some fans theorised that Gaga’s attempts to brush her off are due to the fact that she disagrees with some of former Olympic athlete’s conservative views.

Gaga is a well-known Democrat and an avid supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. Meanwhile, Caitlyn has made controversial comments about the LGBTQ+ community and called herself a “traditionalist”.

Or maybe Gaga was just a little overwhelmed, stressed, and busy- which is totally understandable.

Whatever the case, Twitter did what it does best, and reacted to the situation with some hilarious memes.

Meanwhile, others couldn’t get over Gaga’s “I’ve switched baristas” line.

“‘I’ve switched Baristas’ will now be my excuse for everything,” tweeted one fan.

“‘I’ve switched baristas’ is literally the most polite way of saying ‘If I ever see you again it’ll be too soon’,” another wrote.

“‘Please I’ve switched baristas needs to be on a T-shirt,” a third added.

Gaga might have beef with Caitlyn, but the House of Gucci star stole the heart of Oscars viewers on Sunday night after a sweet moment on stage with Liza Minelli.

The pair were coupled together to present the award for Best Picture. At times, Liza seemed disorientated, looking to Gaga for signals.

At one point, Gaga could be seen whispering some words of encouragement to the iconic actress, telling her: “I’ve got you.”
