The survey, conducted by entertainment marketing agency Trailer Park, focussed on the 17 highest-rated drama TV series that passed the Bechdel test.
The test, which means the show has at least two female characters who talk to each other about something other than a man, included Good Wife, Girls, Being Mary Jane, Game of Thrones, Grey’s Anatomy and more.
In second place came Empire’s Cookie Lyon, played by Taraji P.Henson, with the top three rounded-off by Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, played by Emilie Clarke.
Benson was also credited with being the most "relatable" character in the survey, which gathered answers from 1,200 male and female respondents.
Nice work 'Liv.
