Although she nailed the performance, and bagged herself an Oscar for her troubles, movie mogul Harvey Weinstein’s first choice to play the role of Tiffany was actually Anne Hathaway.
Speaking to Howard Stern, Weinstein admitted:
“Silver Linings Playbook was originally gonna be Mark Wahlberg with Anne Hathaway… and then Anne wasn’t doing it. She's marvellous, and wonderful, and she was my choice. I love her. ... We had Annie and then we had Mark, and then whatever happened happened. [Director] David [O. Russell] and Anne had some creative differences. ... They didn't see eye to eye."
The roles later went to Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper – who stole our hearts as the couple overcoming their personal struggles to find each other.

It wasn’t all bad news for Anne Hathaway either. She later went on to scoop the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for Les Miserables in the same year.
