5 new things on Netflix to spend your Saturday night watching

Another week, another huge batch of Netflix additions.

The streaming service have been a the top of their game lately, with plenty of fantastic and jaw-dropping additions – from Russian Doll to Nightflyers; Velvet Buzzsaw to FYRE and just about everything inbetween.

And this weekend is no exception, with plenty of binge-worthy options being added to Netflix just in time for this weekend.

Here are some of the best additions to the streaming service to spend your weekend watching.

The Umbrella Academy

On the same day in 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before.

Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his “children” to save the world.

But not everything went according to plan. In their teenage years, the family fractured and the team disbanded.

Now, the six surviving thirty-something members reunite upon the news of Hargreeves’ passing. Luther, Diego, Allison, Klaus, Vanya and Number Five work together to solve a mystery surrounding their father’s death.

But the estranged family once again begins to come apart due to their divergent personalities and abilities, not to mention the imminent threat of a global apocalypse.

Dirty John

Dirty John, starring Eric Bana and Connie Britton, is an eight-part true crime anthology series based on the Los Angeles Times podcast of the same name.

This sexy, provocative and harrowing real-life thriller follows the true events of an online dating relationship turned dangerous that rocked headlines and shocked the world.

Dating Around

Every episode, one single goes on five first dates filled with flirty banter, awkward exchanges and moments of true connection. Who will get a second date?

Netflix’s first original dating show takes an honest and compelling look at the real world of dating.

The Breaker Upperers
