5 things to watch on Netflix to fill that Love Island shaped void in your life

Which one will you choose?

Netflix

We’re already missing it.

Like, what are we actually meant to do between the hours of 9pm and 10pm? What did we do before?

We cannot remember and now we return to our sofas at 8.50pm sharp to have nothing to watch?

Well, no fear – Netflix is here.

Yes, while there may not be another season of Love Island waiting for you on there (the Austrailian version is on the telly though) there are plenty of movies that will somewhat fulfil your need for romantic entertainment in the sunshine.

Here are five that might ease the pain.

Ibiza

Plot: When Harper’s two best friends tag along on her work trip to Barcelona, they ditch work and fly to Ibiza for Harper, who against her better judgement, falls for a hot DJ

The Kissing Booth

Plot: When Elle Evans, a pretty, late-bloomer who’s never-been-kissed, decides to run a kissing booth at her high school’s Spring Carnival, she unexpectedly finds herself locking lips with her secret crush– the ultimate bad boy, Noah Flynn. Sparks fly, but there’s one little problem: Noah just happens to be the brother of her best friend, Lee.

Set It Up

Plot: Harper and Charlie are overworked, underpaid assistants wasting their 20s slaving away for bosses who treat them like dirt and work them ‘round the clock. When they realize that they would have much more free time if the people they worked for weren’t single, they concoct a plan to lure their bosses into a faux-romance.

Alex Strangelove

Plot: The story of Alex Truelove, a well-rounded high school senior with a wonderful girlfriend Claire and a bright future ahead of him – and with plans to achieve his last teenage milestone by losing his virginity. But things get complicated when he meets Elliot, a handsome and charming gay kid from the other side of town, who unwittingly sends Alex on a rollercoaster journey of sexual identity.

XOXO

Plot: The lives of a budding DJ, his loyal pal, a hopeless romantic, a jaded has-been and a troubled couple intersect at an electronic dance music festival.
