Amy Huberman is reading the audiobook for Cecelia Ahern’s PS I Love You sequel

Jade Hayden

Pass the tissues, we’re not ready.

Or at least, we’re not going to be if Amy Huberman’s tweet about sobbing violently while reading the latest Cecelia Ahern book is anything to go by.

The actor, writer, and general all round great human being will be filling all of our earholes with her sweet, dulcet tones in the coming weeks as records the audiobook for the upcoming Postscript.

The novel, a sequel to PS I Love You, will pick up seven years after Gerry’s death, and six years after Holly read his last letter.

If you’re not at all familiar with the original Ahern novel, it tells the story of a man who dies and a woman who takes herself on a vast treasure hunt based on his letters he sends her posthumously after he’s gone.

Basically, it’s an emotional read – and this upcoming book looks set to be too.

Ahern confirmed that the Hubes was going to be narrating her novel this week, sharing a photo of the pair in the midst of a recording session.

“I’m thrilled to share the news that this absolute star, the one and only AMY HUBERMAN, has recorded the POSTSCRIPT audiobook!” she said.

“I’m so delighted Amy has brought her talents to Holly’s next adventure.”

Amy then followed up with her own tweet, writing that she was “being a total pro and pretending not to cry” while reading the novel.

“Glad the sound engineer could edit out all those little sob-wails that escaped while I was reading that were of course a mic glitch and defo not me,” she said.

Tissues at the ready, so.

Postscript is released on September 19. You can find out more about the novel here.
