Amy Schumer reportedly asked Netflix for a pay rise after hearing what certain male stars were making on their comedy specials.

The actress and comedian started working on her comedy special, The Leather Special, for the streaming site soon after starring in hit movie Trainwreck.

She was paid $11 million for the show.

However, Variety is reporting that the likes of Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle made close to $20 million for their comedy specials, and that Schumer asked for more money because of this.

And she got it.

The exactly pay rise that Schumer received is currently unknown, but reports suggest that the actress got “…significantly more compensation after she raised the question of fairness.”

Fair play to her.

This comes after a study from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) showed that 44 percent of series-regular prime-time broadcast roles in 2016 went to women.

Just 20 percent of series regulars were black, with only 38 percent of this group being black women.
