Angelina Jolie has broken her silence over split from Brad Pitt

"I am coping".

Angelina Jolie has spoken about her split from Brad Pitt for the first time since it happened four months ago. Although she released a statement at the time, she had never publicly addressed the divorce. She's currently in Cambodia promoting her new movie First They Killed My Father and sat down with The BBC for an interview. During the chat, she was asked about the divorce and how she is coping. Visibly emotional, she replied:

"I don’t want to say very much about that it was a very difficult time and we are a family; we will always be a family and we will get through this time. Many people find themselves in this situation. We've all been through a difficult time and my focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through. We are and forever will be a family and so that is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer."

Angelina was joined by her six children for the trip. Cambodia has always been special to Angelina as it was where she filmed Tomb Raider 17 years ago and also where she adopted her eldest son, Maddox.
