Orlaith Condon

Sundays are blissful when you know you don’t have to go to work tomorrow.

Yes, many of us are making the most of our extra day off this weekend.

However, sometimes, there is nothing nicer than using that extra time off to relax at home.

If you fit into that category, you might be looking for a little entertainment to get you by, and we think the answer is a good Netflix binge.

Yes, with hours on end to enjoy some quality TV, we’ve put together a list of six shows we think are worth a look this long weekend.

Netflix says: “Seven years after vanishing from her home, a young woman returns with mysterious new abilities and recruits five strangers for a secret mission.”

Reasons to watch: Incredible plot, amazing cast and tonnes of twists and turns.

2. Medici: Masters of Florence

Netflix says: “After his father’s murder, banking heir Cosimo Medici battles opponents of his artistic, economic and political visions for 15th century Florence.”

3. Orphan Black

Netflix says: “When Sarah witnesses the suicide of a woman who looks just like her, she assumes the deceased’s identity – and unlocks a world of secrets.”

Reasons to watch: Tatiana Maslany being an absolute badass, serious sci-fi drama and four seasons of clones to enjoy.

4. Lovesick

Netflix says: “In his quest for true love, Dylan found chlamydia. Joined by friends Evie and Luke, he relives past encounters as he notifies all his former partners.”

Reasons to watch: A seriously good laugh, set a little closer to home and another will-they-won’t-they couple we can all relate to.

5. Designated Survivor

Netflix says: “America’s fate rests in the hands of a low-level official after an attack on Washington decimates the government in this gripping political thriller.”

Reasons to watch: Kiefer Sutherland doing what he does best – saving the world.

6. Riverdale

Reasons to watch: Said Riverdale mystery, a whole host of up-and-comers and because, who doesn’t love a teen drama?
