The Victim kicks off this on 8 April and it’s pretty much guaranteed to fill the Bodyguard shaped hole that’s now left in my life after quite literally gobbling up the six-episode drama.
Line of Duty returned to our screens last Monday with a seriously intense episode and if you’ve watched Bodyguard, you’ll know that it’s another superb series that also aired on BBC.
Unsurprisingly then, their latest series is already getting major attention and that’s before it’s even started.
Here’s what you need to know.
The Victim relates to an attack on a man who has been identified as a child killer and the aftermath of the assault.
However, it’s not quite as straightforward as that and viewers are left wondering who the victim really is.
It stars Kelly MacDonald, John Hannah and James Harkness with the four-part drama beginning on day one of a criminal trial that is set in Edinburgh.
The Victim, a four-part series starts on Monday 8 April and concludes on Thursday 11 so yeah, basically cancel your midweek plans.
