Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have filed for divorce.
The couple first announced their separation in 2015 and have filed the necessary papers for their divorce this week. According to TMZ, they both filed their papers together which suggests that the divorce was amicable.
They have also filed for joint custody of their three children and it’s thought they will split their combined earnings in half for the divorce settlement.
They first started dating after working together on the 2003 movie Daredevil. Their separation was announced in 2015 and it was reported that it came as a result of Ben’s infidelity.
Ben initially denied it but Jennifer later alluded to some truth in it when she said:
“[we had] been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgement? Yes.”
